I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned more, but the flush mount led gas gauge. Technically I didn't buy it, the previous owner did, but it's still a piece of junk. First, a couple of led's died on it. Then when riding in rain, it would stop working, and a few days later it would work again, but would be all fogged up. Lately it's been flashing between full and empty. And finally, it died completely. I can't tell you how happy I am that it finally died, but I'm afraid that it will come back to life soon.
Also haven't had any problems with the LCD oil dipstick.
I was at the dealership today & asked them about the LED dipstick & whether they had many complaints about them.
The parts guy said they used to have trouble with them but he hadn't had any complaints in a while.
My husband wants one for his '07 Ultra but they don't make the analog thermometer for Ultras.
He'll have to get a digital one if he gets one at all.
He said that for the money HD wants for that light-up dipstick, he'd just buy one that he could put in the dash in the place of the POS air temp gauge.
So I'm wondering if anyone has bought one in the last year or so & had it work just fine?
