It seems this function is very limited, it doesn't seem to cover earlier parts than '09 - or am I missing something??

Talk about a long time between posts. I just found this thread and when I click on the link it shows an error and some writing in German. Is there a more up to date list of instruction sheets???

I'm really interested in the Tri Glide saddlebag #84031-11 mounting template.

If you look through the Harley website for a particular part, say, read axle covers, on the left side, there is a link that for the .pdf instructions.

fish eye, I do have the instructions, but I'm looking for just the installation template so I can compare the holes the dealer put in versus what's on the template.

While not as useful as a p/n inserted in a link, an alternative is using the "J" number from the instructions that accompany each accessrory's instructions sheet(s). If you can get the "J" number (found near the top of the first page), simply substitute it for the "J" number in this link:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...ts/-J01544.pdf

The "J" number is "Jxxxxx" and is found on the instruction first page of the instructions which your dealer can provide by looking up the accessroy's p/n.

I've done this many times, and it works 99% of the time--I can't explain why this doesn't work every time.
