Default Bike shut off

So...I am out last night going to a football game. The game was on base. In housing, the speed limit is 15 (don't get caught speeding in there...ask me how I know...walking to work sucks). After leaving housing (it is off base) I got the bike up to about 40 for a few blocks and pulled in to the base. After going to the gate, I get on base and have to go 25 for about 15 minutes to get to the game. I only mention all of this because the bike might have gotten hot going that slow. I pull up to the last stop light before the park and the bike dies. It took a few cranks to get it to start again. The battery kinda struggled to start it too...I went the half block to the game. After the game, the bike started right up and ran good...It seems like the bike runs a lot worse when it is hot? What is the deal? The only mods are a stage one download and pipes. It had this this when I bought it. It is the stock air cleaner cover...Not sure if the filter is different...I was told it was a heavy air breather but, I am not so sure...First Harley but not first bike...The bike is an 07 Dyna Low Rider. Thanks!

The newer EFI bikes have a heat management system where the rear cylinder is cut out (not fire), when the bike ECM senses you are rolling again the rear cylinder starts firing. If you can see the air filter chances are you have a stage one air intake sys. The dealer's download only brought the air/fuel mix back up to EPA's requirements, the new air filter actually leaned out the mix. Possible too that the dealers down load may have compromised the heat management program.

Hope this helps. My 07 Ultra does the same thing. Found out if it gets real bad I just stop for a coffee or something and when I get back on it's fine. I tried the flushing out of the IAC, seemed to stabilize the idle but it has quit on me since. Plus when I flushed mine I saw no signs of contaminates. I think there is an issue with faulty IAC's. If it gets to be too bad I'm going to replace mine

I can only see the filter when I remove the cover. It is red and looks kinda like a K&N but is a MOCO product...Is this the stage one?

Yea sounds like a stage one, the heavy breather (I may be wrong) comes out of the throttle body and makes a 90* bend to the front of the bike. The probably got hot from waiting in traffic. TheIAC can cause some return to idle problems, seems the oil vapors that get suck up can gum up this little metering needle.

A stage one air filter kit does not have the plastic airbox that seals to the front cover. This may cause issues with fuel management if it's wrong. Take a picture of the AF with just the outer cover removed and post it, this will tell us what you have.

Ok, so based on the pics above, I have the stage one filter. It looks just like the first link.
