Just bought a 2010 SESG Spiced Rum about three months ago - have put a little over 4K miles on it so far. Noticed right off the bat that the oil pressure was one dot off of pegging the gauge (6th gear, about 2600 rpm's, oil pressure about 56-58 out of 60). Took it back to the dealership first time - never made it past the desk to the garage. After some good responses on the CVOHarley site, I took it back and pointed out the camplate spring issue that others were reporting. Long story short - it's been at the dealer since last Tuesday. They are replacing the camplate today and said I should get it back tomorrow. This is my first Harley, and a very expensive one to have these out-of-box issues....... :icon_ rain:

What cam plate issue are you referring to? Is there some recall on the 2010 110's involving the cam plate or was this a specific issue to your bike?
this is for the guys that got the recall done how long did they have your bike?
my fxdse2 is going in this week and they said its going to be there forever they have to wait for the parts... im just lucky its too cold to be rideing.
Clacking noise in valve train will go away, going against everything we have learned since the induction of the twin cam, go back to standard fluid in the motor, I have 3 clients who did this one was in Fla. Heading north, by the time he hit GA NO Noise ! It was a 09 CVO Ultra
This is why I purchased a Goldwing as a back up bike, ride it more than my 08 Ultra SE3. The Ultra SE3 continues to have problems, and problems, and problems and problems................
Got 13,000 miles on my 08 Goldwing, never been to the shop for anything, never acts up, just like the Everready Bunny just keeps on going !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
About the only time I ride my Harley is to the Harley dealer for another recall !!

Had 20000 miles on my FLHTCUSE3 105Th when I got tired of the engine clacking noise, called the motor company and talked them into sending new crate engine to dealer. Having it changed now. Hope new engine is better. This is my second FLHTCUSE3 105Th, dealer never got the first engine right so motor company sent me a new bike.
Has anyone had issues with their engines besides the oil problem? After 13K miles HD service was finally able to hear the noise I have been talking about for 3 years. It seems my crankshaft is bent causing the flywheel to strike the crankcase. They are recommending an engine rebuild under warranty, however, they feel I need to beef up the bearing and to weld the flywheel to make it stronger. But I have to pay for the upgrade. They have recommended the Timken bearing upgrade.
