I did not get any buffering at all,but then again I have a RG and you have a SG. That might make a difference.

My boots started to get a little warm riding with them on today, and I really did not get any buffering, but I let my bud ride it today also to test them out(since I am partial) and he said he could tell a big difference in the amount of wind that comes up from the bottom along the sides of the tank and into your face.

Warm boots??? Well geeze you are in Texas. What is cold for you like 65°????

Seriously though thanks for the input. I may give these a try until funds allow for and I make a decision on what lowers.

Wink The ones from Harley

Not to be critical in any way of the ultralite lowers, or your decision to buy them ...

The stock soft lowers from HD (58502-80C are $49.95):

- Fit an RG perfectly.
- Are angled inwards to create engine air flow and don't block the engine at all. (Even then HD recommends they be removed at 50 degrees F)
- Are less money, and likely in stock at your dealer avoiding shipping costs

I put a set on my new Road Glide the other night. They work perfect. I don't notice any more road wind (on legs) than I do on my Ultra.

Now that stock RG windshield - that's another matter!

Just bought a set of soft lowers for my 2009 electraglide, seemed like it shifted a huge amount of air in mid section. Anybody had same issue and does the add on fairing air deflectors help?

A member of the Road Glide group on yahoo makes them one at a time by hand. Special order only, for Road Glides or a different one for Electras. Also has an optional pocket. $75 plus $10 shipping for plain, $10 for pocket and $10 for cut-out for H-D driving lights. A new group has been set up just for the lowers.

I ordered a set today. Yeah, cost more than the H-D ones, but I think they will be better quality and I know they are made in USA, not just branded and made elsewhere as I suspect the H-D units are.
