Default '09 vs. '10 FLTR

I want the new Roadglide, but my dealer has an '09 with 2200 miles, python slip-ons and k&n for 18395. Could probably talk down to around 17500 or a little more. What are some of the smaller differences. I know the fairing is lower on the 2010, you can put vented lowers on it, and the back end sits lower. What are the pros and cons of each one? Thanks.

You are right the rear end sits lower, there is no tail light, has run, stop, turn. Single sided exhaust. The Street Glide rear fender facia, that also fills the gap between the bags and the rear fender. Shorter windscreen. Rear passenger pegs, not floor boards. That is all I can think of off the top of my head. Help me out brothers, if I missed anything. I love my 09, as is. If you can get a great deal go for the 09. Just my .02.

I have a 09 FLTR and my buddy just got a 2010. Although I like a lot of the 2010's features, I love the fact that I have the longer shocks and as I wanted more of a Tourer. I think the 09 hits that mark better than the 2010. Don't flame me guys but the 2010 FLTRX is a sportier bike overall, ala StreetGlide vs Ultra. Just MHO...I don;lt think you can go wrong with either one, but I am very happy with my 09 and don't forsee changing that any time in the forseeable future.

Thanks for the replies guys. One other thing i forgot to mention. The man who traded in the '09 also had the SE headlight mod done. Don't know how much that costs, but sales guy said it aint cheap. Do the vented lowers work on the 2009's?

Unless he changed out the whole unit headlamps etc, the plastic bezel is only 42.00 bucks

I thought the lights had to be changed. Isnt the purpose of the bubble to protect the pre-'10 headlights from the elements?

Yes, but most changed the bezel only and determined if the lens scratched then they would change them out. Mine has gone all season with no issues.
