Mutter about what? Doing 16 over is almost a guaranteed ticket, especially in this day and age when cities are just looking for easy extra revenue, and that was an easy one.
If that was my area, it would have been a ticket.
Thank you was an appropriate reply!
I am pretty sue I went with Thank You Sir.
Did not buy a lottery ticket, but should have I guess.
Fokk he was going 16 over the posted limit, cop had every right to pull him over and was lucky not to get a ticket...speeding is speeding Harley or not! As far as I concerned he did stop a as you put it a "bad guy". I think his point was a fellow rider gave him a break.
You guys really to lighten up just a bit. Are ya all cops or what? What an angery bunch of people!

As a retired 25 year vet as a LEO, will tell you, most times, treat them right, they'll treat you right
yeah, didn't work for my daughter last week in wa. she was going with the flow of traffic, but got pulled over by a mc cop. she was very polite, did not give the guy a hard time, try to lie, etc. but he just handed her a ticket for 144.00. yes, she was doing 71 in a 60, but so was everyone else.
he was riding a bmw, that must of been it. she has a small hd sticker on the back of the car. he was jealous, yeah, that's it.
Nice guy -- but if he's riding and you're riding and you pass each other in different directions, how does he know what your speed was? Do they now have radar that measures speed of on-coming vehicles while they're also moving?
LOl that's funny.... they've had that for 30+ years...
I talked to an State LEO in a Target parking lot this summer. I asked him if it were true that the LEO were stopping more riders this year. He said they were because of the riding and drinking issue. As I was leaving I told him he had a nail in his tire. He was going on duty at 11PM. He was glad to know he had a problem and he went to get it fixed right away. He said thanks. I said cut me some slack if you ever see me on the road. He said no problem. Most of the LEO I have worked with and been around are just nice people doing there job. The administration here has pissed off the LEO, they quit giving tickets. It was all over a take home car thing.

awesome for not getting a ticket man, most of the speed limits i have noticed where devoloped 30+ years ago and honestly vehicles and technology back then wernt as far advanced in safe driving, handling or stopping. wit hthe exception of built up residential and school areas 75% of the speed limits could be effectivly raised at least 20% and still be considered safe for todays modern vehicles especially o nthe highways, but unfortunatly the municipalites see them as cash cows and wouldnt raise them even if they wanted too. muc hthe same as the annual inspections, plate validation stickers and various other means of prying your cash fro myour wallet.
most of the cops around here know me as one of them anti-government types in the sense that i feel 3/4's of the laws on the books and 95% of the traffic violations the ywrite you up for should not be tolerated by citizens, if they catch me doing something they know i aitn gonna be a dick to them but its strickly yes, no, heres my papers, and i'll see you at the challenge hearing. but they usualy dotn bother me so far
what really scares me isnt the guy doing 50mph in a 25mph zone, its the old lady doing 10 mph in the same 25mph zone
