No problems with my 07 Ultra. I did add a PCIII which took care of the factory settings causing the heat and after riding a 08 Ultra I was impressed enough with the IDS I put one on my 07 . . . didn't "need" it, but it sure smoothed out the low RPM ride.

07 Road Glide. Badly gouged inner cam chain tensioner(18,000 Miles) caused by defective hydraulic unit. Found at cam change. A friend's 07 had defective oil pump check valve, also found at cam change. Both of these left the factory that way. No need for IDS, no need for gearing change if you ride it like a motorcycle is supposed to be ridden.
Bouth it new and had the stage one done by the dealer, rinahart TDs, se air cleaner and sert. 23k later, very, very happy with it. Switching this winter to e3s, 103 jugs and a cam. Then I will be very, very, very, very happy!

Oh, I did have one problem. The front master cylinder gasket started leaking. I replaced that no more.
And I do/did have the 5th gear whine. Amsoil 75/140 took care of that.
I had a 2007 Electra Glide Classic. I had the bike less than 2 years and put 33,000 trouble free miles on her. A deer took me out in July and now have a 2010 Ultra Limited. I had a PCIII and SE breather with a set of Krome Werks 3 1/2" slip-ons. Bike ran awesome and I ridem like I stolem !!!!
I've got 61k on mine. I've had the tranny redone TWICE but they swear it's not a normal thing. Your call on that. Both times it made noises and had shavings on the drain plug so it got fixed before it left me on the side of the road. I am going to keep it though.

had mine redone the first time recently at 51,000. Exact same symptoms.
I love my "07" Road King. I added Xied's and that took care of the heat and the surging just off idle. I only have 4400 miles on it now ( work too damn much to ride ).
Seat and heat only thing for me. Stock seat on RK Custom hurts around three or four hours into a ride. Replaced seat with Sundowner two up Touring seat. Heat still an on going problem here in Nevada's summer.

I got to 38000 on mine before the main drive gear bearing let go. I am at 44000 now and all seems to be good
