I was paying $27.00 a month with state farm on my 2007 FXDSE, with a $500 Deductible and $3k extra in add ons, but I have a couple of tickets that they found out about and now my rate is just over $77 a month.

FYI, I just saved over $1500/ year (yes fifteen hundred) by shopping around all our insurance from a single company, and researching just what insurance is required and actually needed.

Allstate on the 2 cars. Saved almost $500 over Geico. $630/yr
State Farm on the homeowners. Saved $600 over Allstate. $1100/yr
Geico for the HD UCSE3 and Gold Wing. Saved $500 over progressive. $489/yr for both bikes.

It takes time to shop around, but really pays off. You gain nothing by being loyal to your old insurance company year after year and having everything with them and their hokey discounts.

Make some calls and see for yourself, i'm sure there are even more savings in different parts of the country and with many different insurance companies.

my .02 worth.

Steve

Mine just went up from last year. I was paying $368 a year for full coverage. Now it's $567 a year. I totaled my bike last May so I guess they want some money back.

I have 3 vehicles and my home on the policy as well. Allstate.

$330 a year, no tickets/accidents and 9 years with the company. Your location makes a difference. If I lived in Portland or Seattle, my rates would most likely be double or triple.
I was hit broadside by a driver back in April with state minimum coverage, 7,500/12,500. Damage to the bike was $10,100, damage to me was a little over $52,000.
I thought i would be ok with my 100% medical coverage through my employer but I was wrong. They transported me to a truama center and when they decided to keep me as a inpatient it turned into an "out of network provider".
The basterd that hit me doesn't have a job, recent bankruptcy and has no assets. Guess who gets handed the $20,000 remaining medical bill? ME!
I'm just out for a ride and get handed a f**cked up numb forehead over my right eye and a bumm thumb on my left hand. They say I was lucky! I think the guy driving the truck was lucky, not me.
I'll get down from my soap box now. Felt good to rant a little, and who knows, maybe someone will read this and know a loophole.
