I bleed mine with the master cyclinder cap off.

I slowly squeez the lever back & forth with one hand and watch the air bubbles rise to the surface, with the other hand I... enjoy a cold beverage.

It takes between 10 minuets and 2 beers.

I perfer back or reverse bleeding the brake system. I use an old pump style oil can and hose clamped to the bleeder valve.

Speedbleeders a short hose and a cup of brake fluid, 5 minutes and done.

this is the same technique I've used for many years.

tapping on the brake hose and line helps to get the air moving where it wants to go - up
and the tapping cuts the time to about one beer

zero cost

zero complications

I've used a MityVac on my sport bike and on my brother's EVO Softail. I haven't had to bleed my new bike's brakes yet, but I'll use the MityVac when I eventually flush the fluid. My MityVac is about 20 years old.

Just changed out my bars recently. With two people it was a pretty quick and easy job. Took the master cylinder cap off. Oppened the bleeder on the caliper. He pumped the lever, I worked the bleeder valve. Took about 15 minutes or so.

Oh yeah. One of the problems I was having was the o-ring came off the valve so I was getting air right back in. My g/f looked down and said "is that little black thing important? Duhhh. I will be keeping her around.
