2010 Power Commander info from Dynojet
If you are like me and at a roadblock because no one makes a fueler yet for your 2010 Sportster, then the wait is almost over and it looks like Power Commander will be the first with a workable fix.
As we all now know, HD relocated the ECM on 2010 Sportsters so no fuelers will work so far.....That means we can't perform upgrades without risking damage to our engines from running too lean.
I was attempting to upgrade with 1250 kit from NRHS but had to wait while I figured out how to deal with the ECM problem....In the interim, I sent Dynojet an email asking when a PCV autotune would be available. I got this reply today.
"We are going to rebuild that entire harness, because the ECU on this bike is extremely difficult to get to. You will be running the Power Commander harness directly to the fuel injectors and ignition coils on the 2010 model. If you like the 2009 unit will work on the 2010 and go straight to the ECU, but it is a major headache of an install.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Chris Kelly

I sent Chris at Dynojet a followup question asking same, but perhaps maybe you guys here can assist with your ideas. Dynojet listens to us, so please contribute if you have a suggestion.

i tried to disconnect the battery on my 2010 iron today - the ecm is in the way of negative ground wire - so to get that off you have to remove the pipes.
remove pipes to get the battery out?????
the new ecm location is rubbish - all just to sell springer seats!
Take a look in your owners manual and you will see HD's suggestion on how to attack the battery neg cable....you are going to need a long 1/4" extension and a swivel attachment, and the patience of Jobe.

lol - i read that - and tried it. its impossible - the bottom of the plastic case around the ecm is right above the ground wire - the socket wont fit in this space let alone one attatched to the the swivel attatchment!
