Here's a link to expensive EU company that make them ... am sure Sokustom can make them for you too!

http://www.wildhog.it/files/eng/index.php

I dont like the full size saddle bags for looks on the Night Train. Need something to carry extra stuff, as at time I find myself needing to carry more stuff. The solo bag seems neat, and to fit my basic needs (getting a few video's at store, taking a few items to work, mailing a small package, or a day trip).

Looking at the base 'depth' of 3.25" and the 10x11.5 or 15.5x8.5 I was thinking I might fit boots that are 3.5"/4.5" and 9.5x12 if I pack them like 'L7'. I think the 5" depth would work, but the 3.25" would have to be spread. 5" depth seems about too wide...

I just see boots as the biggest thing I might carry, or a top/bottoms/shirt combo. Hate wearing a back pack for a few items.

Military bases require boots and vest that I always leave at home.

Good info so far. Like the pics of those that posted them.

I not sure about the Garage leather bag scraping as I own one and rode the tail of the dragon scraping pegs all the way (3X). Never even scrped the bag.

speak to shaun he will create you a one of a kind swingarm bag however you want it...... tooled or pin striped, coloured or plane. i have a bag, bib and battery cover on the way as we speak.....garage leathers bags are cool as are leather works but sokustom will make it YOUR bag and not number 31 in black.

LW 312XL on my train...Never scraped it. Dimensions...It sticks out a hair farther than my passenger peg in the down position and the front edge which is lowest to the ground is a about 1 1/2" lower than the lowest point of the swingarm.

As for gear...For what it is it holds a good amount. You need to be aware that packing is the key. The smaller and tighter you can make your clothes, the more you will get in there. You can easily put a complete change of clothes in it, but boots??? Maybe but that's all you'd be getting in there and folding, wedging and cursing to do so.

A few things
  1. Move the bags up the swing arm as much as possible to avoid scrapping
  2. You can mount it on the right side too just like my attached pic (it is kinda cool, some think it is ugly, I have days..
  3. Avoid Larosa, their bags doe not hold shape and are the cheapest worst quality not to mention the customer experience .
  4. Wrap some duct tape arund the areas of your swingarm where the leather touches as it will eat out your paint and could expose your swingarm to rust (NOT GOOD).
