I have to chime in on this one...Wife and I worked Registration for 4 hours on Thursday. The number one comment that we heard was..."Where is everything at?" and "Where are the Vendors?" I stayed the 4 hours as I had volunteered to do, but had I known what I know now, I would NOT have paid over 70.00 to attend this NOTHING event.

I won't blame the planning committee, they had nothing to work with. HOG would not allow them to make this rally what it COULD and SHOULD have been. It should have been an extravaganza that people would talk about and promote for the next years event. Instead, it was a total JOKE and thats not just me talking, almost everyone in my HOG chapter that was disgusted by this NON-EVENT. It could have been something to help promote our States great roads and changing scenery, it Wasn't.

I definatly WILL NOT attend next years event. For the 70.00 I paid, I got 2 crappy looking t-shirts that I will NEVER wear and 2 even worse looking bandanas, that I will use as the RAGS that they are, and the pins I already tossed in the garbage.

If all I wanted was a "Self-guided ride" I can and do make my own with my map and GPS, and ride anywhere I please. The routes they gave, were CRAP. On one, it even took you down a dirt road..How do I know this?? I Hunt in the area and I know that particular road. There is absolutly no excuse to plan a ride, and take people down dirt roads on thier bikes. And with the rain, that road is almost washed out.

All in all, every person tha I have spoken with over the last couple weeks that did attend, were disgusted with this event. I have not heard one good comment from anyone that I have spoken to.

SOme on here may want to defend the event, but you won't get the people that went and feel like they got screwed to attend next year, and thats HUNDREDS of people that could have helped make things great, for next year, simply by talking about what a good thing this year was...Unfortunatly, all that happened is that people left with a bad taste in thier mouths, and word of mouth advertising will hurt the next event simply because the first ever was so lousy.

Hubby and I, and about 35 more of our chapter members, attended. Most of us had a great time. I say most because some said they would not go back. But those were ones that did not attend the activites. No, there were no vendors. I would have liked to have seen them there too. But HOG does not allow them on the same property as the Rally. There was no place close to the host hotel to put them either. I am hearing that they're going to be working on that for next year. We ate at several places around the rally site. Good food too. Our hotel hosts were awesome. Everyone involved with the Rally was awesome. We rode, we ate, we partied, we rode some more, we met people, we listened to good bands, we watched movies. Will we be at the next one.......yes, as long as God is willing to let us we will be there. Was this a perfect Rally.......no, not by any means. But this was the FIRST one. Give it a chance. And if you're thinking about attending next year without paying thank again. They were being lenient this year, they won't be doing it next year. The committee is taking any and all suggestions for next years rally. They would love to hear from you.
