Like the guy or not, you have to respect the fact he lived the lifestyle of a true "Biker". Sonny has paid the price for it also. Read all of his books, including his fiction, and you'll get a better understanding of the HA and Sonny Barger.

I met Sonny at a book signing and had a picture taken with him about 5yrs. ago.He's a very dedicated individual and very straight forward....If he has something to say,he's going to say it to your face.....not hide beind a keyboard like that rest of you "keyboard commandos".If you gotta bitch with someone...do it one on one. man-up chicken-hearts.!!!
How about this... let's buy and read a book from the person who started the "Boys Club of America" or the "March of Dimes" instead of reading a book about how or what a criminal thinks about or did.
There are other legends in this world who deserve the title "Legend". There are LEO,s that have served US for 30 years that don't get bike runs. There are nurses and doctors that have saved lives for years and years that don't get bike runs. But my oh my... a freaking criminal has a birthday and he gets bike runs.
I am glad you're proud of meeting and talking to him. I am proud of meeting people who make a positive change in my world and everyone else's.

Yep... he's dedicated. He probably still has to look over his shoulder often because of all the stuff he has done to other people. And if you would get you head out of your **** you would read that I have no problem with the man or what he does. I have a problem with the glorification of a person who has done nothing creditable to society.
Your right... nobody has called him a hero... but he sure does get treated like one.

While I don't necessarily disagree with some of your points, why do you feel it necessary to tell others who they should respect?
