That bag will be a trash bag cause thats what will happen to your bike. Any moisture in there when you close up the bag will stay in there cause thats what that material is meant to do. Do like others have said, spray it, if ya could, section off a small part of your garage and do the light bulb trick in there.
I just attended a seminar on storing classic vehicles today. The retired GM engineer said the best kept car he ever saw was an old Packard stored for 15 years in a unheated barn that the owner sealed in plastic just the way you are thinking about. The farmer was going to tear the barn down and he had to get it out.
He said he helped get it out and going. They put fresh gas in and a battery. It fired up and they drove it to the new storage location.
He said it does not matter that it is cold storage or heated. The main thing is keep the moisture out. The only thing to do better was to get some bags of decondescent (sp) and seal it in with the car.
A couple questions... How come if you are going to Florida for the winter, why are you leaving yer bike in Jersey? Also why don't you just roll her in the house? Are you married or something!?

Now those are questions someone from Phoenix Arizona wouldn't understand.
Im in upstate NY myself and as long as you clean it up and remove the battery, you should be ok.Man just watch the mice if the garage isnt used much during the winter. They got at my wide glide last winter and I had to completely re wire the harness under the tank console.
in the 80's they ate through the air filter and nested in the throat intake, that chit didn't go through the carbs very good...
