Imho-i have an 08 roadking classic that came stock with cruise control-i used it once just to see if it worked-do yourself a favor-unless you want to go through the headache of installing it and once it is installed you have to go through the 7 or 8 prompts just to get it up and going every time you use it-just buy one of those thumb controls-it is so much easier and cost effective-cruise control is one impractical feature on a motorcycle imho-but thats me

Yes it does. 08 kit has everything including cable ties. Most likely will have to go to the dealer to have the cruise enabled in the ECM tho. My dealer did that and a stage one download for free.

I use the cruise alot for freeing up both hands to take pix.
Cruise will work up to 80 mph.
Being able to relax your right arm, on those 600 mile days is great.

Unfortunately, the RK Standard does not come with CC, but I installed it when I did my handlebar swap. Best addition that I did to my bike. I use it all the time on the highway.

I don't understand why you would have to go through any "prompts" to use the CC. I Don't know what you are doing, but I just flick the left CC switch to "on" and I toggle the right CC switch to hold the speed that I want. Brake when I want to cancel cruise. Simple as that.

Curious to know what your set up is like??

I use the CC feature every time I ride. It's simple to use and I wouldn't be without it.
