09 TG Damper Leaking

I thought so wonder how they handle with out one. If they have front end wobble are hard to control. Was also thinking if the damper on my TG can be rebuilt with better seals and fluids Be made to adjust. Not that I woud do it now as mine is under warrenty. I have steering Dampers on my Jeeps never a problem. All Different Brands and Models out there for the jeeps. Yes I know there are Thousands of jeeps out there from 98-2006 they all take the same type of Dampers so there are thousands. How many TG's out there my guess 4k at most. So there is not a markert for after market Dampers at this time

I looked up there sites looks like there more industeral apps but thank you. I agree it's the seals.

Carlos, why would you want an adjustable damper? Am I missing something here?
The present TG damper gets the job done nicely (when they dont leak). It seems to be that the more complex a design is the greater the likelihood of failure and the more expensive it becomes. I have always been a big proponent of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid).

I had a damper on my first bike in 1971 A Bridgestone 350 don't laugh. It was the type that you turned to tighten or loosen the bars around town at slow speeds or moving the bike around it was turned loose. On the Interstate that was stright with a few curves it was tightened up. Was nice to adjust the way you wanted it for how you were riding. On the piston Damper all it needs is a thumb screw to slow the oil in the piston .that would stifen it up. The dampers on the race bikes have it and they don't leak and cost the same as the one on the TG. Plus I bet you can add oil and bleed them with a bleeder. I find it hard to beleave that the damper on my TG is a throw away and cant be fixed with seals and a heaver oil I bet they take the same oil as the fork does. They been making adjustable shocks for cars and trucks for years they last for thousands of miles from super cold up North Canada to super hot conditions like Bja Mexico. It was just a thought.

There is a blue lettered sticker on my Damper ( OHLINS ) there also appers to be in the lower front of the Damper very small numbers or letters can't make them out. Will wate fo the Wife to get home, Shes got better eyes then me will try and get them and post them. Up date here are the Numbers SD1960 126670 Went on the OHLINS Web site all kinds of Dampers none with this Number. Kinda figured that any way as it's prob built for HD only by them. By the way the price of there Dampers cost from around $389 to $689
