Powder Coated Rotors
Looking to find some black powder coated rotors for when I replace the wheels. Anyone know of any good deals? Or maybe its better to just send them out to get powder coated.. less then a year old.
They're not cheap, but I like my Czar Eclipse contrast-cut rotors from RC Components. The carrier hub is powdercoated gloss black and then machined. They are 1.9lbs lighter than stock (each).
Alternatively, you could always clean and powdercoat your stock rotors. It isn't necessary to mask off the firepath perfectly... the first time you use the brakes, the pads will burn off the overspray and give a clean edge.

hmm.. Noticed the HD classic rotors are only black on the inside.. anyone have all black rotors? Guess I'll have to ask around to see if there is an issue with powder coating the whole rotor.

If you don't plan on moving the bike it'll be ok but as soon as you apply the brakes you are going to cook/grind the powder coating off where the pads come in contact with the rotor.

The Harley Vivid Black rotors look very nice and are easy on the budget as they can be bought for under a hundred bucks each at a 20% off dealer.

there i 0 issues with powdering your rotors if the coater knows what they are doing. we do them ALL THE TIME!
