Thumbs up For all you 09 owers with cupped tires

For those who have not changed their cupped tire yet, my dealer just warrantied mine, I had 14K+ miles and has been cupping since +/- 5k. Here's the deal you have to go in and say you have a frontend vibration, not that your tire is cupped, if the tire is the original and the cupping is making it vibrate the MOCO will warranty it. If the dealer doesn't know about it call customer service and tell them the issue, with the VIBRATION, and they will give you a number to give the dealer. The dealer will have to call and get authorization to change your vibrating tire. My service manager said that they did not know of this prior, but he told me that the MOCO said that they will only warranty them if the customer complains about a vibration coming from the front tire, which has to be the original tire that came on the bike when first sold, not cupping because cupping is "normal".

too bad vibration is relative to the individual who rides the bike...

Dealer never test rode my bike, I called customer service and told them about the cupping tire issue they asked me if it vibrated well mine does so i said yes, got the number for the service manager, called him back he said he would call me when they got more tires in, he did, I went in they replaced it, no test ride. he said the MOCO is using the vibration claim to warranty them.

What the service writer told me is you have to say it vibrates in the frontend, not that your tire is cupped.

So did they replace it with another D407 or with the new D408?

I believe its a d407, I never checked, but i guess they're different now. Either way, combined, I'll get my miles I should have gotten off the first one. Soon there will be a 21 on my bike. Was just trying to help everyone else that had this issue. The dealer's service warranty manager didn't know of this before I called, until after they spoke to the MoCo, he warranty out his tire too after they found out.

D408's all the way, I have had 2 D407's and they both vibrated. The first 407 was replaced by my dealer at No charge but stated vibrating at 500 miles or so. I finally but the bullet and just purchased a 408, it now has 1k miles and is smooth as glass.

I had the tire put on last friday, already have close to 2k on it it seems fine, from what i was told the 408 is gone and went back to a changed 407. But whatever i guess you just can't please everyone. just info for those who have been trying to get their tires warrantied and haven't been able to.
