I saw alot of that on Craigslist when I was looking for my Sportster.

I have been riding. Had 6400 miles when I bought in June and I now have 8450 as of today. I will keep riding. That's probably not alot compared to many others but it is for me on the Sportster.

Regardless of how much you ride / work on your own bike / what you wear / what your job is / what your income is. Someone here on HDF or in the real world will think you are a poser because you don't fit their defintion of a real biker. The reality is, they can't see past their own egos.
