Loose fuel injector plugs

Default Loose fuel injector plugs

I recently removed my SERF and fitted a TMax auto tune system.

While doing the unplug and replug the injector plugs I noticed the plugs on the injectors turned .

Can anyone tell me if this indicates loose injectors or is that how they are?

That's the way they are....o-ring seal will allow injector to move a little...clip holds it in place

Thanks a lot kdietz,
I have fairly bad decel popping going on since fitting the ThunderMax unit and wanted to eliminate that as a vacuum leak. Looks like I will have to pull the exhaust and put new gaskets in.

Most likely the popping will need to be tuned out with timing and afr edits. Only way I've had success with it.

Hiya Ron, Nice ride bloke!

Did you have the decel popping problem after you fitted your Thundermax too?

I have tried the fuel cut feature at various cut in and cut out rpm's without much luck. I sent my map offsets to the techs at Zippers, they could see nothing to suggest it had an intake leak. That is why I thought it may have an exhaust leak. I had to remove the exhaust to modify the angle of the rear O2 sensor bung for the larger WB O2 sensors. I didn't have gaskets so just put it back on with the old exhaust gaskets. I cannot hear any ticking or see anything else to suggest there is a leak. The RB Racing exhaust has square shoulders unlike the harley exhaust with the rounded shoulders so the tapered HD gaskets are probably not ideal, I should try to fing some square gaskets.

What did you do to tune around the problem? My AFR is set at 13.8 by the base map.
