two part question regarding dealer EFI remap / exhaust
if i get my bike remapped .. would it allow me to take my slip ons off and run with just my stock head pipes? (i really like that look especially now that i have exhaust wrap on them)
if i get the remap .. and later i purchase a new exhaust, air cleaner and power commmander ... do i have to remap the bike back to original or will the PC compinsate?
i just came back from the dealer .. oh man the look on their faces when i said i wanted to just run headers .. haah classic
they suggested Khrome Werks power cones but told me without a tune i'm asking for trouble. although the mechanic did tell me there's only one way to find out he said throw those cones in and see how it runs. i should video it .. i bet it's gonna be loud as ****
The September issue of american iron magazine has a great article on exhaust systems. I'd have to go with the above "you're asking for trouble" comment. There is a right way to get the look you want, but I'd say just taking the mufflers off aint it.
