I always spray my wide white walls on my 2007 Road King Classic with Wesley's Bleach White. Then while they are soaking for a minute or two, I walk inside and steal one of the wife's Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. I soak the magic eraser in clean water, then gently rub the white walls. Rinse off, and I am done! Effortlessly, they look better than the day I sat on it in the Harley dealership (It had protective blue film on it then! HA!).

This works great! Here is one for you... at places where they race RC street cars, they spray the entire track with WD-40 to AID in traction. They rub it on the tires too. Sounds crazy, but it works.

For anyone claiming that WD40 is not an oil, take a look at the MSDS form for it.
45-50% aliphatic hydrocarbon
25% petroleum oil
As for using it on RC tracks, it likely creates traction by softening up the surface of the tires.
Hey, you guys can use what you want on your tires. No difference to me. Just seems like with all the available choices of cleaning products out there that WD40 may not be the smartest choice.

OK- I went out to try the WD 40 and I have to say I am rather underwhelmed compared to other solutions I have used.
My favorite product is still Soft Scrub Gel... Wipe it on with a soft sponge, let it sit for 30 seconds and rinse off. You can see the whitewall whiten right before your eyes!
If you really want that show bike white, apply the gel and scrub it with a brass brush. But honestly I have never felt the need the need to do anything other than apply and rinse.
