We made it back Sunday afternoon as planned. The weather was awesome. Rode Friday as planned and recommend both us 64E and 276 to Waynesville. You'll see Looking Glass Falls on 276 which is a nice twisty through national forest. Went to Cherokee then back to Waynesville for the night. Saturday hit the Parkway and headed north stopping in Sparta, NC for the night and 1 detour off the parkway south of Sparta. Sunday early 6:30 am pushed out to the road at motel, then cranked up and idled off on 18 north through minor fog watching sun slowly rise back to parkway then up to Meadows of Dan. I found two Farmers market type stores both sides of the road with a country resturant and a very nice breakfast buffet. Didn't know about Wills campground or definetly would have stopped in. 58E was very nice especially the view from Lovers Leap! The 29S to 158E. I expected rain atleast on Friday's ride up but never got wet the entire trip. The forecast the day before looked real bad and I can't explain what happened but sure was a very nice ride.

Way to go Pitchw, sounds like you had a great trip and great weather to boot! The Farmer's Market at Meadows of Dan has great breakfast biscuits. In fact Will picks them up there and has them ready for breakfast if you want one, along with coffee, when staying at Willville, The other little restaurant beside Farmer's Market was closed last time I was there. It may be closed one day of the week like Monday when I was there a couple months ago. Maybe I'll see you at Will's next time.
