I wondered about those new pouches HD is offering that attach to the tank..do you think they will eventually scratch the paint after riding miles and the vibration?

I bought an Otterbox for my ipod nano and then vercroed it above the handlebar clamp and ran the wire to the Aux port. I coiled the extra cable and zip tied it to some cables behind the speedo unit. Looks clean and is easy to access.

Go to Target and get a cord with a reel. It winds up the slack cord.....voila, no dangling cords.

That's exactly what I'm using. I have two small square velcro patches on my inner fairing and simply stick my Ipod to those.

i picked up a cord at best buy that is coiled up so nothing hangs. i also use the ipod shuffle (clip version) and clip to the clutch cable. there's no screen to look at, so no biggie and i don't want to be scrolling around for a song while cruising down the road anyway.

the new shuffles are about as small as a paperclip, so i'm sure there are some options w/ that as well.
