think it was 85 bucks for the week @chris' campground per couple.clean pool flush toilets.bottled water is on average $1-2 bucks for a 12 oz bottle so get that at walmart when you get there.dont buy it downtown or at gass stations when driving around.went on $ 400 this year bought 2 shirts and a cap.im 500 miles one way.left home mon came home thurs.
I brought my own tent, air mattress and sleeping bag. I am not aware of any campgrounds that provide tents. showers and restrooms are at all the major campgrounds. Most have restaurants and bands.
It also cost me a dented tank, dented front fender, dented fork cover, busted speedo/tack, busted mirrors, rocker switch broken, and tail light. We got caught out in the hail storm at Full Throttle, only liability insurance. So far I'm searching e-bay for parts. Already bought mirrors in campground, so should be in for under $500 in hail damages.
If you wannt play, you gotta pay....and you take your chances. No telling how much it is going to cost....I mean, it could cost you your life, you could die riding motorcycles. But, it is FUN !
Camping $15 per night. Bring your own tent and sleeping bag.
Breakfast $7.
Dinner $15 - All you can eat crabs and prime rib in Deadwood.
Beer - Arm and a leg.
Gas - $2-50 per gal.
Hot showers - free with camping
Blew a 0.05, speeding (45 MPH in a 35 MPH zone at Creekside, it was starting to rain AGAIN !) and insurance card expired.
Got a warning, though, and cops read me the riot act.
Every night heading back to Creekside, there were flashing lights all around. I was surprised how many cages/bikes were pulled over every single night.
I'd agree - you did get lucky.

These campgrounds you guys are talking about, do they provide the tents or did you take your own?
I strapped just about everything to my bike. I did ship a container out with a couple of things to the campground, but it turns out I really did not *need* the stuff I shipped. It was nice to have the plastic container to ship stuff home that I did not need for the trip back.
I had no problem with cops at all while I was there. As a matter of fact I found them to be pretty nice for the most part. The only problems I had were the weather and the people that cannot ride worth a ****. I guess there are some folks that do not ride their bikes all year, but come time for Sturgis they load up on the trailer and go........and they all follow me around for the week . I had more people crossing yellow lines on 14 and 16 and saw more people dropping bikes trying to do simple slow speed turns then I could count.
The silly 30$ Nelson Rigg half cover I purchased for the trip protected my bike during the hail storm....I could not believe it.
I rode out from VA by myself. A little over 5000 miles in a couple of weeks. An experience I will never forget and I would do it again in a heart beat, even with the hail storm. Maybe next year I will try a little harder to get people to ride out with.

For several each year their life. For me $5 to 6 hundred covers motel, campground, gas, food for the 2K round trip over 7 days. Yes I'm cheap. But I don't buy and booze and eat I at McD's.
One year I went all out for a $7 turkey leg at the Broken Spoke.
