Wait, before someone yell's use the search function, I have. I just want to know what the best exhaust for a stage 1 kit with future plans for ported heads and cams would be?
LOL, loaded question! You're going to get a bunch of differing opinions.
The Bassani is a very nicely made piece. Probably makes some good power too.
I've had a V&H Pro-Pipe and a Thunderheader. Thunderheader gets my vote between the two. Maybe a little softer right off the line than the Pro-Pipe, but midrange and top end is a definite improvement. Sounds much better, and "bassier."
But the TH is a piece of crap. Lousy chrome, cheap heat shields, etc. At least with the Bassani the pipes underneath the chrome covers are ceramic coated. Really nicely made.
I have a V&H big radius 2 in 1 and like it a lot lots of low end tq and great sound it is on 07 NT,friend has 08 like mine but cams and V&H outlaw pipe it hits hard lots of power kind of loud though.
I have TH and wished I had Supertrapp. One thing about TH is they don't change. They are loud from the begining to end. No packing to burn out. And when you have cams insalled, they will be even louder.
