Default Rk missing

My bike is a 2000 RK and if I read Stoker right you are saying the throttle position sensor could be the problem, as my bike has the M&M system.

Yes, the 2000 has the Magnetti Marelli ignition, opposed to the Delphi system for 2002 and later. Here are a list of causes for your problem.

1. Intake manifold leak ( usually associate with the spark plugs being a very white color)

2. Fuel pressure ( needs to be 40 to 45 pounds at idle)

3. Throttle position sensor ( can be out of range or have a voltage dead spot in it like the
one I repaired for a customer last week)

4 After market fuel controller ( like a power commander etc, could be the problem)

5. Water in the gas

Thank Stroker, I have done all of these except checking the throttle position sensor, can I do this with a multimeter.
Also the only elect mod was to put on the all tail light stop mod, which light up all three rear lights

Just got it back today. Road it some. Seems to be fine.
Dealer said that they put two new injectors in it and still had the same problems. According to the guy I talked to they ended up finding the problem in the actual injector connectors. He said they crimped new ends on wires and put everything back together and it ran fine. I guess the connectors can fit loose on the pins. I'll run it hard tomorrow. I'll post back.

Almost 4K since last post. No problems. Whatever they found in the electrical injector wiring harness fixed it.

Injector wire connections are known to be a potential problem & should always get the once over. As mentioned the TPS can give you fits. Voltage values on the TPS output should smoothly track throttle opening & not fluctuate when the throttle is held steady. Reference lead value should be 5V & output varies from 0.20 V up to 4.6~4.9 V at wide open throttle. They wear and can develop spots that produce 'misses" at steady throttle cruise openings. Hope that's of use. An anolog tester is much easier to use for TPS checking than a dvom.
