Just got my Rider Magazine and it seems that Harley tied for first for the V-twin Touring model shoot out for the 2009 models. Inlcuded was the Kaw Voyager (last place)....Victory Vision (2nd place).....Yamaha Royal Star and the Harley Davidson Ultra Classic tied for (((FIRST PLACE))). This really made me feel good about owning my RG, even though it is an 07. I debated over buying a tourer last year and came to the conclusion that the HD had to be the one. If you read the article, there seemed to be NO bias to how they picked the HD. The catagories were clear on what they expected. I'm sure the cool factor set in during the test also. Kawasaki tried to imitate it, but couldn't do it. Also the Kawasaki load capacity can quickly be maxed out with just the rider and passenger at 379lbs. verses HD's 474lbs. If you start comparing apples to (what is supposed to be apples) they just don't cut the mustard.

Wait a minute, didnt the man say that HD got the Victory on this 1 !!!!!!! Pun intended!!!!
honestly there was no need for the reinforcement that harley wins. first, they ain't a hong kong piece of crap, and second, they weren't designed by arlen ness. now they could have added a slice of spice into the mix by adding something that the dorks from new york built. OCC, of course. if it weren't for the discovery channel they'd still be hackin stuff together in the two car basement garage. good for harley. quality and character always rise to the top. i like my streetglide, no complaints at all. harleys aren't perfect, but they're as close as you can get. best?, of course. it's a harley.
