So why would HD pull such a move, and put one of their best sellers at risk?
My theory is that most people change out the exhaust anyway and now the MOCO can sell the crossover pipe to people who want it on both sides. If you cant afford to make the change then you get the proven benefits of the 2-1 at least. JMO

I'm not a big fan of the new exhaust or the rear taillight. Now the CVO FLHX is another story.. that bike looks bitchin'.

Road Glide Custom is just a SG with a sharknose thrown on... underwhelming.

Not a fan of the 2-1 pipe but I am not a fan of the crossover under the bike either. The pipe going underneath looks just as out of place. If I had an 09 or 10 I would swap out anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if they will sell a ghost pipe or something else to make it balanced for those that want it.

Street Glide really took a turn for the worse this year. The exhaust, no actual brake light (yeah less lights in the rear was a bright idea) and the crappy choices of colors. I think if I was shopping for a new touring bike right about now I would be looking and leftover or used.

Could be the option is either the single or dual pipes.

Yep!! It depends on what's more important to you, looks or performance. I installed a 2 into 1 on my ultra three years ago and never looked back!!

performance.......hdman

Agreed.
The single exhaust on the Street Glide is obviously a cost cutting measure. They figure that most people will change their exhausts anyway, and that this styling excersize won't stop them from buying the bike.
If the MOCO thought that it looked good or was actually about performance, then the CVO would have the wonderful single exhaust as well.

No type of blue is offered. If I were buying I'd have to buy Vivid Black and then repaint later.

The CVO Street Glide is awesome. For $30.000 It would be nice if it came wth a rockin sound system. 1) A head unit that lasts and had power. 2) 6.5 quality speakers.

how do you figure that? i have yet to see an aftermarket 2-1 that costs less than most true duals. i don't see why this is any different.
