Default Boo for the new Street Glide exhaust

New street glide exhaust sucks. All the hype about rerouting it under the frame, and it now has a 2 in to 1 pipe. Even though on the site it says 2 into 1 into 2????

Touring bikes don't look complete with one single pipe. Always loved the dual exhaust look of a touring bike. At least we had the choice of going to a 2 into 1 with an aftermarket before.

Maybe the 2009 exhausts will bolt up?? Loved the 09 head pipes for once, then they go and do this. Exposing the ugly belt guard. Is it a conspiracy to sell more belt guard covers??

I don't like it either. Glad I pulled the trigger on a '09 SG two weeks ago and saved almost $3K off MSRP.

Most folks replace the exhaust anyways, you'll notice the pipe hanger is still there so what does it really matter?

Yeah, its gonna take a little gettn used to. I will not judge yet. It's a option you can change. I have never had the stock exhaust on any of my Harleys. I might just like the 2 into 1. Technically its a proven winner when it comes to
performance.......hdman

I dont know, I think baggers look better with 2 pipes coming out the back. When you look at the bike from the right side it just doesnt look right. I could care less about the small power gain. I didnt buy my Harley because of speed. If I wanted speed I would'nt have bought a Harley.
How come the Roadking doesnt have that exhaust?
Im also up in the air about the no rear tailight.

Yes, I am unhappy with the single pipe on the 2010 Street Glide. Mainly for the visual unbalance having one pipe does to a touring bike. Some people may like that look, and for claiming "performance" but most of us don't ride a touring bike to race from each light to the next.

Nice to know maybe the exhaust hangers are still there and you can bolt up an older exhaust. makes you wonder what the bean counters were thinking, now they can only sell one muffler for this bike instead of two. Unless the plans are to charge the same amount for less pipes?

I've always changed the exhausts on every bike as well, but for once in Harley history they really had a good looking functional header pipe stock, and then they go and do a boneheaded move of removing it within a year.

Are there any other changes to the 2010 FLHX other than the nasty exhaust or the 5th gear? Couldn't tell.

edit: just saw the "redesigned" rear fender. YUCK as well on that.
