Mine started squawking at 6800 miles so I replaced it while I had the primary stuff off to change the belt while I was regearing everything. If a guy has the tools it's about a 1 hour job.

I worked at a Harley rental place (EagleRider) and we had an 06 Wide Glide that was screaming at 10k ish and they replaced it no problems. At the time I did not know about the recurring problem and I personally bought a 06 Super Glide with 2200 miles on it. There is no noise yet at 7k, but since day one sitting at a stop light with the bike at operating temp, and my hand resting on the clutch (just enough to take the slack out of the cable, no pressure) it kinda pulses. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it is pretty regular. Could this be related? Could it have something to do with the stator bolts backing out? Or is this common?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

2007 Softail Custom with 33,844 miles and bike will be in shop until the 8th of September getting this fixed. First extended warranty ever purchased and it is getting used.

Compensator problems,primary bearing failures, clutch bearing failures and 3 hp more when run with a manual tensioner. Get rid of the stock auto tensioners.
