Screw the a-holes on here who say you don't rate a Harley......What we all rate is a safe and well constructed bike. If HD can't built it, then tuff stuff for HD.

Make HD refund your money and go get you a Goldwing then forever be safe and happy.

Because a broken frame on a new Ultra is something ALL need to hear about and watch out for.

First off, I would trust the dealers tech simply because he has more time to assemble the bike than they do at the factory and he knows if it is not perfect it is all on him. So that part should be a dead issue. Extended warranty? They will start 2 year warranty coverage on the new frame and swingarm the day you get it back, standard practice for most items. Entend the warranty on the entire bike? Never going to happen and you are not realistic to request it. As far as having an 11 year old on the back 20% of the time, stupid idea. You know as well as anyone that motorcycling is a dangerous thing to do, no matter how safe you are, it's usually the other people that cause accidents. I wouldn't have my child on the bike no longer than a ride around the block. Anytime you have a passenger you are putting their life in your hands and I don't see any reason to risk your child's life. I was t-boned by a car coming off a side street 2 years ago, and if I had a passenger that passenger would be dead, think about that. I'll say it again, STUPID IDEA.

I'd want a new bike and if I didn't get it, I'd trade/sell it after I got it back and get a new one.

Obviously you didn't read the other posts because if you had you would know that the FRAME DIDN'T BREAK, there was a missed weld from the factory.

Having a problem with a new bike certainly sux, but a new frame put on by the dealer isn't all that big of a deal, in my opinion. The numbers will be the same and nothing else was damaged. If that was an older used bike/out of warranty, I'd a MIG'ed it together, painted it and left it alone if I had good access to the break, or tore it down to a point of good access and MIG'ed it. But new, they need to fix it with a new frame. These things are really all pretty simple. A skilled wrench should be able to R&R a frame in a couple days, I would think. I've torn a bike down to the frame with a helper in an hour or two of beer drinking and without air tools, although that was a simpler bike than an ultra. And really, a good wrench at the dealer should be able to do as good a job or better than the factory worker that put it together. Remember the factory screwed up that weld.

So, if'n ya'll want my opinion, which I assume you do because you're askin': keep it. Or, if it makes you feel better, sell it and get that wing.

Give it a rest fella. This is at least the third thread you have about this. You will hear something on Thursday from the dealer/MOCO.

What is all this crap about a wing. Does everyone understand that no matter what bike it can and will be dangerous. No matter what bike it can and will break. Not one bike builder/ company has a perfect record. NO ONE. So you need to stop complaining and enjoy life. Ride your bike. Be happy no one was hurt and chalk it up as a blessing that your daughter enjoys spending time with you because it will come a time were she wont want to or have the time to.
