I was at the Republic of Texas Rally two years ago and on Friday night, when every rider in town was in downtown Austin for the concert and street scene, the throng of walkers parted like the Red Sea parting for Moses as guy on a pearl white Fat Boy came riding up to park with his peeps. He backed into the space they were saving for him, looking all studly, got off his bike, took off his FULLFACE helmet and it was Samuel L. Jackson. So I said..."hey, you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?" He nodded with a smile and then ignored us like we were not worthy.
Me, not exactly famous but i am infamous, striking fear in the hearts of fathers and boyfriends of the hot college co-eds. hell i have even participated in a few "movies" hahaha
...we cant have this discussion without mentioning Rob Halford, of the mighty metal band Judas Priest. Since the 1978 album, Hell Bent For Leather, he would ride an H-D on stage as they did this track for the encore. Its been a Priest tradition ever since.
This was important to note, that at the time when AMF were producing crappy bikes, Halford would only ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles and nothing else.
Priest are in their late 50's now, and he still comes out on stage with the bike! Heavy metal and motorcycles go hand in hand
