A local HOG chapter is only as good as the membership and dealer want it to be.

Some dealers offer discounts to members, some don't. thats totally up to the individual dealership. Some host events to help the chapter raise funds,ome don't. Some even pay for memberships with a bike purchase, others don't.

Rides become very dangerous without a set of guidlines in place. My Chapter might have 30 people go on a ride, but we go out in groups of 10 or less, and keep a good distance between the groups (normally a group departs ten minutes after the one in front of it.) This makes the entire group safer, and makes it much easier to stay together when going thru intersections and such.

Like any organization, HOG is what YOU make of it..
