I don't usually post reviews but do spend a lot of times reading everyone's. I just felt like I should throw out a big thanks to Pez and his bud Cameron from his shop. I had picked up an amp and hog pod (small speakers that wrap over speedo) and ran into an issue when I did the install. It was a user error because even after reading the instructions about not pinching a wire I did but hadn't noticed. When I couldn't figure it out I happened to be close enough that I went direct to the source and Cameron pulled my system apart (took him just minutes) and showed me my error. Once fixed the sound was fantastic.
I've since had the bike out for a week long ride and can't say enough about the difference and quality of sound. It was always pretty good with just the speakers but since the addition of the amp and hog pod the sound at highway speeds are FANTASTIC! Not only can I hear it under all conditions, even the pounding of a major rainfall but often and I can't believe I'm saying this, found that I needed to turn it down. At loudest settings it still held perfect sound and no distortion or crackling. Between the new sound setup and the better set I wished the ride could have been longer. By far best purchase this year for me.
Anybody thinking of the upgrade in system I can vouch for quality and customer service. As stated at the beginning, I don't brag about many products but felt this one should have a mention.
Put the HogTunes Hogpod on my bike with Firecap's 6.5 Arc speakers and adapters with the mini Arc Amp 125.2 and can't say enough about the good sound quality.
The Hogpod for tweeters looks spendy.. but considering the HD dashpad is like almost the same price.. and does nothing cept sit there.. and the Hogpod's tweeters with built in crossovers does something.... well why not if you are looking for great sound quality.
i put the hog tweeter pod on my 08 streetglide and am impressed with the addition. i'm wondering if the hogtunes speakers with the tweeter pod would work well, because i really would prefer not using an amp. any ideas?
I've installed the Hog tune speakers on my 07 Road Glide..simple install..and great sound. I also have the amp but took a look at the instructions and put the amp back in the box. Anyone with an 07 RG who installed the amp willing to give step by step instructions???

I installed the amp and rear speakers from Hogutnes. PM me questions if you want.
