Since the black pearl paint is discontinued for 2010, I have a collectors edition........Plus mine is set up perfectly for all day riding comfort now and I don't want to start all over again.....The 96 motor is plenty big for me and since my "extension" is on the plus side, I don't need to have a big motor to make up for any short comings......Just kidding (a little)...

Way, way TMI. But thanks for sharing just the same.
Damn, only one response...I was sure the 103 & 110 guys would be flaming the crap out of me over that comment....Oh well, I tried to add some excitement to this thread....

I had a 103" 07. When I got the 09, I decided to NOT do it again. Long story short, downshifting 1 gear has about the same real world power increase on the 09 (with new gearing) that my 07 103" had (without downshifting)
I decided I could learn to drop a gear when needed, and save $2000.00
I MAY do it to the 09 one day, but only after everything else I want has been done.
On the stock seat "my *** hurts comment" (not in those words)
My *** hurt like hell once I hit 100 miles when the bike was new.....at around 2000 miles I put a set of progressive shocks on and my *** never hurt again.
I don't know if it was the shocks, or the seat broke in, or my *** broke in, or a combo of all 3. So dont give up on the stock seat yet....it may need to break in.
This picture is the rear arm of the shifter linkage on an 09 Street Glide. I wanna replace it cause it has play in it. What is it called when I'm looking it up to replace?
thanks
