Seafoam is great for carbs, never used it on FI. I use double dose of Techron for FI right before I change the oil. What ever you use, the experts reccomend you do it BEFORE you change the oil as blowby during coldstarts allows some of it to get into the crankcase.

Techtron
Used it once recently. No real big change, but does seem to fire up quicker even with the PCIII [ yes I know the trick]

+1 on the Seafoam . .used it in Generators, Tillers, anything running rough. When I bought my 2007 Dyna it had sat in a dealers shop for 1.5 years (only had 380 miles on it). It ran pretty good but had a bit of a miss when I really gave it the gas . . .4 oz's of Sea Foam in a full tank and within 50 miles she was running nice . . .now could it have fixed itself w/o the Sea Foam. .absolutely . .but sure seemed to help.

Good Luck,
Dave

+1 on the seafoam. I work for NAPA and have heard countless success stories. Especially small engine stuff. The ones that tend to get neglected like generators, lawn mowers, tillers and outboard motors. I've always got a couple of cans kicking around. Great stuff and more uses than you can shake a stick at.

My lawn mower is really neglected. I leave fuel in it over the winter, never change the oil or even check it (hey, the damn thing was less than $150 so why bother doing all that when it lasts for 3 years or so before I have to get another one)
Anyways it was running pretty rough so I decided it would be a good test to see if Seafoam would help. I poured some in the gas can before I poured it into the mowers tank and I'll be damned if it didn't smooth that thing out. It runs almost as smooth as when I bought it now, I'm not kidding.
I'm a believer now.
If your over 50, seafoam is it!

FI is hardly a new fangled invention. It's been the norm on cars for 2 decades. Gasoline is forumulated with all the cleaners you need. Never used any additives and never had any issues....and I've got some older FI stuff...'87,'90,'94, and '00.

I have used Sea-Foam in the boat at least once a year since new...2001 model...NOT to cure any problems but as a preventative measure....never put it in the bike...while I am not a big fan of STP...no reason to be or not to be...I use MARATHON fuel about 98% of the time...it contains STP additives AND,using my Marathon Mastercard,I save about 12 cents per gallon..my boat cost 21k in 01...lots more than my bike cost in 06 ....:>)

Maybe Marathon gas is the secret to my success...LOL...I use it most of the time, because a Marathon station is 2 blocks from my house. My boat is a 1985 as still runs like a top. The most I do is put Stabil in the fuel when I winterize it.
