I have heard that the Magic Eraser works nicely... will give it a try when it stops raining here!! NJ is the new Rain Forest!

i use dish detergent mixed with water and very vine steel wool (000 i think) works very good

Westley's Tire cleaner works well. Scrub it on and wash it off.

SOS pads is what I use.

I couldn't see ever puttin' somethin' as slick as WD40 on my tires.

WD40 is not an oil or lube it is water displacement (the 40 stands for how many tries it took to get right) it evaporates super fast
if you look on their website that is a recomendation from WD40
"Cleans white wall tires"
WD-40 does not contain silicone, kerosene, water, wax, graphite, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), or any known cancer-causing agents.

as long as you do not get nuts with it i dont see it being a problem... granted i do not have it in my shop beacuse even having a bit strayed where powdercoating or paint is being laid will contamidate the area... never the less... i do not have white walls... used to us that when i did not have any bleach white left on my old cars

Try it without the WD40. I'm pretty sure the simple green will do the job by itself.

I'm sure theres a million things that will clean tires.....but personally I've stuck with Wesley's tire bleach....made specifically for tires...and it works great.
