Just changed over from SE synthetic to Amsoil. Very pleased. Engine noise decreased and that should tell all. I had 3,500 on the SE and was disappointed when I saw what came out. Jet black and runny. I bought the Amsoil from their online store. Price was good and I was surprised at the quick delivery. I know I am sounding like a commercial, but rarely does a product please me. I've been around for awhile. Bottom line... Amsoil works.
Good to hear once in a while If you went online store, you may have paid retail?? If you or anyone else wants to pay wholesale and save a bit more, can always shoot you a price.
Well some Amsoil Dealers won't be happy with this Have used Amsoil for a lot of yours but on my 08 EGS have found Spectro 6 to be a better Oil for the Tranny .. near elimaminated the 5th gear whine had when used Amsoil 75W110 but for Engine and Primary will stick with Amsoil..
No offense here To each his own. We are definitely not the oil choice out there. I know for the 5th gear whine, our 75/140 is the recommended gear lube though.

Well while on topic and glad you didn't take offense Spectro 6 is 75W140 so that might mean a difference so might consider Amsoil 75W140 next change .. Peace
Go to deerewright.com and order through this distributer's site. The cost is the same no matter who you purchase from online. Even shipping is the same no matter your location because amsoil ships from nearest source. It's my brother's site and he just does it to get good deals on oil for himself and my father. He only has a couple customers and is considering shutting down the site, so i'm just trying to help out my bro.
I would think so. Last time we went (2007) there was a place on the north end of the main drag that was cranking out oil changes like crazy. They had regular, Amsoil, and Syn3
why would anyone want to run amsoil when harley spent over 1 million dollars and over a years research desiging an oil for a air cooled roller bearing motor, also high detergent. hd oil is made for your engine. you will loose over 1/2 the life of the engine by running amsoil, ive seen it over and over, also with automotive oils too. it is too slick and the rollerbearings slide instead of roll wearing out the rods ect... ive got 100's of crankpins to prove it. it normally dont happen in 50k miles , closer to 100k , but the bottom ends should last over 300k. ive seen redline oil destroy a engine in 17k miles and other automotive in 40-70k. its your bike and your money. dont buy the hype amsoil and everyone else sells you. do your research from people in shops who know.
