Default Differences in Police vs. Stock FLHT?????

Does anybody know the difference between a Police FLHTP vs. a stock FLHT (civilian) you could buy off the floor from the dealer. As far as engine upgrades or performance (not wiring). I have a 2006 FLHTP and find different info based on where you look. Just curious.

You mean FLHTP (Police) vs FLHT (Civilian)?

Police bike has a 103. Police bikes have different tires. There are some other differences, but they're pretty minor (seat, switches, etc.)

I'm not sure but I don't THINK the cop bikes had 103" in '06. Pretty sure they were 88".

88 in 06. 103 started in 07. differences are very subtle. it's a flht with wiring for cop stuff. I'm not sure when abs was available but my 06 copglide has abs with the pump in the right saddlebag so that's kindof a difference. tires are different too as mentioned above.

Don't the cop bikes have different saddlebag covers?

Different bag lids, wiring harness, seat, hand switches and dunlop run-flat tires. I believe the air shocks are the same. I have a 2003 FLHTPI.

FLHTP comes standard with an oil cooler and heavy duty charging system also has Air Ride seat, switches and wiring for siren and emergency lights and prior to the 09's run flat tires. I don't believe they make the run flats for the 09's yet. The 07's and up have the 103 ci engine. oh yea and the Police bikes come with the ugly assed Street Glide wheels. I do love my 09 FLHTP.

This would be for FLHTP vs. FLHT. Here's a better list of the differences. May be some minor differences in years such as the ABS in the saddlebags of pre-'09's, but here's a good list for you. Some are obvious, but bare with me.
The 103 motor. With a little extra compression ratio. ;-)
Oil cooler. Just the cooler, no chrome (or black) cover.
Heavy duty clutch (is NOT the easy-pull of current models!).
Wiring harness is different. Including some wires you'll never use!
Better charging system (though heard civilian models got upgraded & now the same?).
Mirrors are "true" glass, different size & shape, not regular ones like all other Harley's.
Of course, the air seat. Admittedly, VERY comfortable when touring.
For the '09's, they have the Street Glide wheels instead of the turbine looking ones.
Supposedly solo only tires. Have heard others going 2-up no problems.
Switch gear is different, Example, horn button is below turn signal button.
On '09's, has the same under-seat heat deflectors as the Ultra.
No tank emblems. Sweet on the all-black ones. Uh, like mine!
Saddlebag guards are the full Ultra style instead of the vertical-only style of the FLHR.
Fender lights & bumpers are different, basically the "P" bikes have full Ultra fenders.
FLHTP: lights & bumpers on both front and rear fenders.
FLHT: Front--light, but no bumper. Rear--Bumper, but no light.
Both the bags & the latches are different, but mount the same of course.
No passenger floorboards, but holes are there, bolts up in 2 minutes.
Turn signal bar/license plate mount & light differs as follows;
FLHTP: tag is above tail light, mounted on rack same as the Ultra.
FLHT: tag is below tail light, cleaner looking. Only the FLHT & FLHR have this style.

That pretty much covers it all. There are a couple other things like relays, but who cares. I hope that helps. And, I want the OE set up of the FLHT so I can get rid of that rack! Soon I hope.
