I've gotten into the habit of pushing in the stand as I lean the bike over and I haven't had a problem lately. I'll pull the bike back as I do it next time and make sure it's solid.

Just wanted to check to see if it was me or the stand. Looks like it's me!

At least it fell to the least expensive side to repair... But yeah, i always pull back on the bike while keeping the kickstand in place. Then sometimes when im off the bike i put my boot on the stand and pull back somemore... Ocd???

ive taken my bike by the handle bars and drug it forward to demonstrate to the honda boys the far superior h.d. jiffy stand., they were amazed.

I do what most guys are saying, put stand down then hold with foot and pull bike back a little to be sure properly down.

That wouldn't work with my 05 Lowrider. My jiffy stand doesn't look like it is real stable either. I've never had a problem with it falling or anything, but I'm also always very careful. I've looked at a couple other guys bikes that look the same. The stand doesn't go forward of perpendicular at all. Another guy here at work has an 08 Ultra and his stand is the same way.

my 09 has a "finger" that goes into a steel slot as you lean the bike over, the stand cannot fold up untill you stand the bike up and the finger disingages from the slot. i just took a flashlite out to the bike and laid eyes on it to make sure im not lyin. is this new for 09? I have pulled the bike forward, jiffystand leaving marks on concrete and wouldnot fold up.
