CV rejetting question.
.Recently installed an Andrews EV46 cam into an 94 EVO. All went well and now it's time to deal wit the carb. I like the CV carb and wish to rejet it. Am confused about ALL the possible mods that one can perform with this carb. I bought a recalibration kit which includes jets, needles, drill bits, a new diaphram spring and my question is: "Is all this really necessary"? Back in the day, you popped in a new jets and off you go.
Have taken in a variety if opinions. Some state "stay away from the recalibration kit". Others swear by it.
Was wondering what some of you have done in the past.
Suppose a little more info would help. It's a 94 stock EVO. Replaced the cam (as mentioned), installed new Rheinhart exhaust (true duals). Upgraded the coil and wires. Thats it in a nut shell. Was going to have the heads modified but wanted to see how this set up works first, plus it's the beginning of the riding season and I am impatient.
All responses will be appreciated.
Thanks again. Great site!
Here's a link to a great site with well-explained mods that work in the real world.
