Default CVO recall truths?

I went into my local dealer, had the serial number run and found out like so many others that my 2007 CVO Dyna will be gettin' recall work done. They ordered the parts today; apparently. Anyway, of those of you who have had this done, what exactly is replaced? All the gaskets I'm sure but what else? I've heard that some models get new heads as well. Any feedback or advice would be welcome.

you can enter your VIN on the HD website and it will tell you what's getting replaced on your bike.

I believe the only bikes that are getting new heads were the baggers.
the only things we got were the new ACR's, head gaskets, crankcase center bolt, and cylinder base O-rings.

my bike has been in 4 times already for the "enhancement" and front cylinder base is still weeping oil..............

Go to Harley Owners Group, then service check up.

I had my "Recall" done in November. This, after having to wait nearly 8 weeks for the parts to come in. (there were 4 other bikes waiting to have the same thing done).

Now, I am back in the shop for what looked like a primary oil leak, but now turns out to be bearings gone bad in the transmission. It is being rebuilt, and should be ready by Tuesday.

As my friends continue to go on the weekend rides, I am once again stuck at home because this $35,000.00 bike keeps breaking down. While all the problems have been under warranty...when is enough..enough?

In the nearly 2 years I have owned the bike, it has been one thing after another. Compression relief, starter, blown rear gasket, compression relief, battery, blown rear gasket, "recall", and now transmission.

While once the "envy" of the riding group, I have now become the laughing stock. None of the breakdowns occur during bad weather. It's always been a week or 2 of great weather and I'm home.

Sorry...I'm through ranting.

There are several years and models of the 110" CVO that are offering the service upgrade. While some refer to it as a recall, it's not a recall per se. It's not a life/safety issue.

If you want to know if your year and model are included in the upgrade, you can go to the CVO owners forum.......there are several threads there that spell it out.

Dan , I feel your pain. Let me tell you what happened to me. I bought a 07 SE Ultra. The day I picked it up from the dealer the motor was knocking. (dealer said this was normal) . My wife got made that all are friends were riding and we were either home or riding my 1992 Soft tail. I had 1500 miles on when I got my first new motor. Then there was head gasket, old leak, motor knock, and so on and so on. Long story short my wife had called HD customer service and opened a service request number, because my bike was in for service 16 of the 24 months I owned it. And there is a lemon law that states “enough is enough”. After meeting with reps from the motor company and talking to my lawyer. Harley decided to offer me a trade in price of 22,000. and Harley paid 8,000. For all my trouble. I now have a 09 SE ultra and I am crossing my fingers. My advices to you is skip the dealer and go right to the Motor Company and demand a buy back. They will do it. Good luck let me know if I can help you in any way. sorry so long...

Good luck with your 09, I am sincere in that. My feeling is that it's a 50/50 chance that heat related problems with 110's will continue. I won't go back to the 110 untill they redesign the motor. Heads, and cylinders.
