Default 3.37 gearing for 2002 EGLIDE

I put this in the transmission section, but didn't get any advice. Got a 2002 flhtcultra. I'd like the 3.37 final instead of the stock 3.15. I've read that HD part#40269-85a (24t compensating sprocket) and HD part#37846-99a (37t clutch hub) works on certain bikes, but I haven't read where anybody has used these on a late model dresser. Has anybody converted there EGLIDE over to 3.37 gearing by changing parts in the primary and if so, what were the parts and how many threads were you able to use on the compensating nut. I ask this because I had bought the 24t compensating sprocket sold by Drag Specialties and when I installed it I only had a couple of threads to tighten it up. I called Drag Specialties and they said it was a missprint and that part wouldn't fit my bike. So, I 'm trying to find a way to change parts in the inner primary without putting a 30 tooth transmission sprocket on. Thanks for any info.

Curious, what do you expect to accomplish by switching to a 3.37?

I live here in the boonies of New England. I rarely go on an interstate and my speed is usually between 40 and 60 mph. I'd like to be able to stick with 5th gear more instead of shifting down every time my speed goes below 45-50. Lotsa winding roads and hills. The rpm's would be in a better range for my style driving. If I lived out west or down south, were the roads are long and expansive, I'd probably stick with the 3.15, but riding the back roads here is like being on a tight, narrow sports car track. Keeps you busy.

The 337 change works well, I did it to my bike it raised the rpm about 600. I also put the Harley automatic primary chain adjuster in at time of swap. It's kinda like putting in 411 gears in a muscle car. Your speedo stays accurate because it changes ahead of trans and not after. I have 2005 Electra Glide. Use the Harley factory parts from earlier year glide and they bolt right in.

Jeepster, the 600 rpm doesn't seem right. The change from 3.15 to 3.37 is about a 7% change. That would mean at if you were doing 3000 rpm (70mph) with a 3.15 final, than with a 3.37 you would be doing 3210 rpms(7% more). 6000 rpm ,with 3.15, would be 6420 rpm<for same speed, with 3.37. It's 7% more rpms at any given speed. I don't think I would want to increase my rpm's(at anyspeed)
by 600 rpms. Do you have the part numbers you used?
