OK,but would you agree that 1% club members are more patriotic than say the mex. mafia,or crips or bloods etc.? Lots of 1% members have served VOLUNTARILY in the armed forces during wartimes. For that matter can you say the same about many current politicians?

Harley being one of the best marketing firms there is probably planned on it being this way. You will notice that many of the Harley apparel and bike accessories all have a Red, White and Blue theme or USA theme. I also noticed that in a couple of different threads that many of the Harley Riders have a Military background, Police or Fire Department background. Thus the reason for the Patriotism. When you fight to protect Americans, you have a great sense of Patriotism. .

You must not be looking at the tags or labels. Most of the Harley stuff is from China.

Well not everyone. I have to question the mentality and patriotism of certain groups who sell drugs and engage illegal activities that undermine or social and moral values of our great nation.

I'm hard pressed to see any patriotism or anything I would consider remotely noble in the actions that erode our country's values and the safety and well being of its citizens.

What are you talking about? The original question is about Harley Owners and Patriotism. I do not think that you read the original thread, now did you?

Ever seen a club member displaying a swastika or other anti american symbol?
How many 1%ers do you see volunteering on election day or even voting?

Honestly the most visibly patriotic people I know don't ride motorcycles at all.

It seems that originally the 1% clubs were started by vets coming back and not quite fitting in with society, mostly societies fault, and out of that forming their own bike clubs...question is though are they still like that...we're talking as far back here now as the second world war through vietnam....did good intentions than grow into something else today

Regardless of whether you like it or not or whether the MOTOR co. likes it or not there will always be a public perception that 1% members, harleys and the American flag are connected to patriotism.Thats why I mentioned the clubs in this thread.Don't even try to convince me that harley hasn't cashed in on the bad boy image in their advertisements. That said who would you rather depend on to defend your country:a biker or a far left liberal?

I wouldn't associate 1% clubs with patriotism. I associate them more with drug dealing and prostitution. Maybe some folks think that is patriotic. And, the last time I looked, our armed forces were made up of Americans from all walks of life. That includes far left liberals as well as hardcore republicans.
