I have two bikes I have installed this on. One in black and one in silver. Both have this gap and weird halo lighting at night.
Also you'll notice the needle on this gauge does not have a needle stop like the other gauges on the bike.
lp
Maybe its just me, but hopefully HD fixes this. Having three gauges that are similarly illuminated (actually four because the air gauge I removed matched as well) side by side with one that is way off, is something I can't accept. I 'll just take the oil gauge back out, for the third time now, throw the whole kit in the trash and write it off as a mistake, and put the air gauge back in.
So are there any other makers of oil temp guages? Maybe one with a white face and chrome bezel to match the rest of my guages? How can HD be the only one that makes this...

Here is a link for Roger McEwan's gauges. Did not see a white face but I also listed his number, give him a call and ask. Good guy.
My SG's OPG has been installed for two years and it also has the gap. I never even noticed it 'til someone mentioned it on this forum a few months ago. Went out and checked...yep. I'm still not consciously aware of it and it doesn't bother me in the least.
He is a great guy, I sold my old bike with the sender in it and when I called to buy another one he sent me one for free!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup. The end of my sending unit was broke off in a gravel parking lot and the wire dangling. I called to order a new one and he sent it for free. Awesome customer service!
