Default Chinese Torque Wrenches

I stopped by the local Harbor Freight store this afternoon, and noticed Pittsburgh click-stop torque wrenches at really low prices: 1/4" drive for $20; 3/8" drive for $15; 1/2" drive for $15; 3/4" drive for $80. Didn't buy anything (yet), but I'm wondering if anyone has verified accuracy for these wrenches? For example, torqued a bolt to a setting with one of these, then applying a more prominent name wrench (say, Craftsman)?

I'd be interested to know, not interested enough to spend the money to find out, but curious. I have a couple of the Craftsman ones, but wonder about the accuracy of these things.

I'd be interested to know where Craftsman was made?

I've used the Harbor Freight 3/8" drive, ft/lb wrench several times and am happy with it. I haven't checked it against my only other torque wrench just because it's an old style beam-type wrench.

My son had bought one of the in/lb wrenchs and it broke on him after only a couple of uses (the "click" stopped working). Harbor Freight exchanged it no questions asked.

I also broke a 4" vise I had bought there over a year ago from purchase. With no receipt they exchanged it for a new one, again no questions asked. It did still have the Harbor Freight ID sticker on it so they knew it was their's.

My 1/2" and 3/8" torque wrenches are both Snap-On but my 1/4" one is a Pittsburgh from Harbor Freight. I can't verified accuracy of the any of them but I've been using them for a number of years without any problems.

I read so many bad reviews on the Craftman site about their torque wrenches,I didn't buy one,got one from Harbor, used it for awhile, very happy with it,brought it to work and one of the guys tested it against his Snapon it was right on the money.

I've been using Harbor Freight tools since the 80's. Every thing from calipers, dial indicators, socket sets from 3/8 to 3/4 inch drive and metrics. Wrenches, all sorts of power tools, two types of motorcycle wheel chocks, floor jacks, parts washers, tire changing tools, air power tools and on and on.

Never have I had a tool or product fail. I have the twenty year old 1/2' impact wrench which has used to rotate many sets of tires and it is still going strong. It was $19 with a double end socket for the two most common lug nuts.

I can not hear any detractor about HF tools as my tools have spoken so much louder.
