Default Most useless, worthless purchase ?

Well, some guy started a thread about the BEST 5 mods or adds to your bike.....so, what is the most worthless, useless, even over priced thing you've done to your bike?
I honestly can't think of anything off hand, but I know as soon as replys start rolling in I'll agree with some, I think ??? I guess I can't think of a single purchase I'm dissappointed with, yet.

OK I'm bucking the bagger league here .. I bought an 88 FLTC with about 2700 miles on it , in late 88 , and kept till July this year ..

I didnt add a lot , but the most useless add on , was not long after the purchase , I blew $600 on hard lowers ...

My riding partner , Bill , had them on his Tour Glide , and loved them .. Highly recommended them ..

We did a 4500 mile trip , not long after , is why I got them .. Got home , pulled them off , boxed them up and they were still in the box when I sold the bike ..

I'd have to say that adding rear speakers to the EGC was pretty much useless for me.

- Gas tank bra. I bought it new and it's still in the box, never been used.
- Axle nut covers. Put em' on my bike and didn't like the appearance.

Anyone wanna buy this stuff?

The last wife, she is going to cost me at least 3 new bikes. I should have listened to my brain. JMO

LCD Oil level and oil temperature dipstick.

I doubt that it is very accurate in terms of tempature. I know it sucks in telling me whether the oil level is low. It normally tells me that oil level is high. There appears to be some oil that has leaked into the display area...but it is still working.

I think it was around $100 and I have heard nothing but complaints from others who bought the same thing.

Expensive trash!

Now you tell me?
I just paid about $150 with the tax for that and put it on the bike yesterday. yes it says my Oil level is high and today it told me the bike was hot too, even though it was chilly outside. You are right about it likely being not too accurate.

My vote is a Helmet Hook I bought that was made to hang a helmet on the back of any house door. Never used it and don't know what ever happened to it either...
