Rewog....Bags are not detachable and the rear turn signals were not relocated.
However, this morning I started the bike to go to work and the taillight wouldn't come on and rear turn signals didn't work. I removed the taillight cover and the light flickered when I removed rt side screw...so I think I found a short in the wires leading to the taillight bulb. There was moisture inside the taillight cover. I washed the bike 10 days ago. Maybe that has caused some of the problem? Don't know.
I'm wondering if the bulb wire short could cause the rear turn signals to malfunction too?? And then, they reset when the bike is shut off?
I think I'm possbily getting somewhere close to the bottom of this...just need to isolate the rear turn signal problem. Thanks for the help ya'll!

It's a good start. I think the turn signals are on the same circuit. If that is the case, yes, a short in a tail light wire will cause the breaker to go, in turn causing the turn signals to fail. When you shut off the bike, the breaker cools down and resets, hence you have power again until the breaker goes out again.
At your rear tail-light, remove the lens assy, and check the circuit board that all the wires that go into it....
There is NO BREAKER for the TS, Run or Brake Lights... The ONLY commonality for ALL of those lights is that circuit board...
The harness goes from under the seat, and plugs into a seperate harness that lines under the rear fender, that harness goes into a circuit board to distribute the functions of each circuit out....
Before it happens again, find the breaker that runs the lights. When it happens again, as soon as you notice it, check that breaker to see if it feels warmer than other breakers.....if it does you have a short and it's time to trace wires. If you have a jack, put it in the air and start doing a real good visual inspection on the wiring.

So I took off the tail-light and removed and cleaned all the contacts and inspected the wires. There were a few pieces of road grit in the assy. I do have a short in the bulb wiring for sure as it flickers when I move the wires. I put it all back together with some fresh dielectric grease on the contacts. By messing with the shorting bulb, I wasn't able to get the turn signals to go off which I thought was odd. I'll wait and see if the turn signals go out again and will have the bulb wiring harness replaced under warranty at my next service.
So, when you moved the wires at the circuit board, they flickered......
Orange w/ White stripe (Switched Power), Black (Ground), Blue (Running Light - HDI), Brown (Rt T/S), Purple (Lf T/S), Rew w/ Yellow Stripe (Brake Light).....
Electrical Diagnostics Manual has all the required schematics and pin-outs that you would need...
